Salah satu langkah nyata yang diambil adalah melalui program Khataman Al-Qur’an rutin yang melibatkan seluruh guru dan karyawan.

Kegiatan ini bukan sekadar rutinitas formalitas, melainkan sebuah upaya sistematis untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang religius dan memberikan teladan langsung (leading by example) bagi para peserta didik.

Menanamkan Kebiasaan Melalui Keteladanan
Kepala SMP Negeri 41 Surabaya, Siti Erum Megawati, menegaskan bahwa pembangunan karakter siswa harus dimulai dari lingkungan dewasa di sekolah. Menurutnya, guru dan karyawan adalah cermin bagi para siswa.

Mekanisme Kegiatan: Gotong Royong dalam Kebaikan
Program khataman ini dilaksanakan dengan sistem yang terstruktur namun tetap fleksibel agar tidak mengganggu tugas utama mengajar:
⦁ Pembagian Juz: Setiap guru dan staf mendapatkan tanggung jawab untuk menyelesaikan satu juz secara mandiri.
⦁ Majelis Khataman: Puncak kegiatan ditandai dengan pembacaan doa khatmil Qur’an secara bersama-sama, yang dibagikan melalui grup WA yang akan diselesaikan sesuai kemampuan guru yang bersangkutan selama 1 bulan.
⦁ Keberlanjutan: Setelah putaran 30 juz selesai, program langsung dimulai kembali dari awal, memastikan bahwa lantunan ayat suci Al-Qur’an terus dibaca dan dipahami

Dampak Positif bagi Lingkungan Sekolah
Dampak dari kegiatan ini tidak hanya dirasakan secara spiritual, tetapi juga secara profesional. Hubungan antar staf menjadi lebih harmonis dan penuh kekeluargaan karena dipersatukan dalam majelis ibadah.
